A: Yes, it works on all types of tuners, even Banjo and Ukulele.

 

Q: Can Tune-It be used on open gear tuning machines?

A: Yes, Tune It can be used on open gear tuning machines that are stuck, bent or worn. Don’t overuse and wipe excess so it does not collect dust and debris. 

 

Q: How often do you need to apply Tune-It?

A: Every string change.

 

Q: Can I use Tune-It on the saddle of the bridge cover for an acoustic-electric guitar's bridge pickup?

A: Yes, on the points of the saddle that the strings touch and pass over.

 

Q: Can I use Tune-It on a wood nut?

A: Yes, depending on type of hard wood, it could color it a bit.

 

Q: Where are all the locations I can apply Tune-It?

A: All points where the strings touch and pass through: string guides, string tree’s, saddles, nuts. It can be used on the tremolo arm threads and open gear tuning machines. 
Note: Do not use on tuning machine eyelets, that is an anchor point for the string and you do not want slipping.

 

Q: Can The Octopus tighten strat style recessed nuts on the jack?

A: Yes, the black end is a ½” socket with a thin wall.

 

Q: Will The Octopus fit for tightening the nut on a Stratocaster style guitar jack?

A: Yes, the black end is a ½” socket with a thin wall.

 

Q: Will The Octopus strip?

A: If used for guitar care it should not but over time you may have some wear and tear. It is a really strong special plastic so make sure you use the correct size and all 6 sides or the wrench is engaged on the the nut to avoid slipping and damage to the Octopus.

 

Q: Can I use The Octopus to take off and replace tuning machine bushings?

A: In most cases it is great for this, but if the hex nut on the bushing is extremely tight and does not budge then you may need a thicker metal wrench to remove them to avoid damaging the Octopus.

 

Q: Can I use The Octopus to tighten the nut on my strap locks?

A: It’s great for that if the nut matches the one of our sizes.
